Your first day at Equator Village

We are excited that you are thinking about spending your holiday at Equator Village. As you are booking your tickets, dusting off your suitcase and starting to pack, let us tell you what you can expect on your first day at Equator Village.

08:00

You have taken multiple flights on your way to Addu. Fortunately, Equator Village is just a five minute hop from the airport, and you can look forward to relaxing soon after leaving the arrival terminal. But first, you will be awarded a certificate for being among the few people to have crossed the equator in the Maldives.

You are all checked in and are making your way to your room. The rooms at equator are a short walk from the main reception through our beautiful flower gardens. We have 78 rooms, all designed with comfort in mind, and just the right blend of cozy and chic.

12:00

A short nap is just what you need to shake off your long journey and now you are all fresh and ready for adventure. But first, you can head to our Veragan bar which is open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and grab a drink before lunch at 12:30. Lunch is at Vaivaru restaurant, offering a variety of Oriental, Western and Asian cuisine to delight your taste buds.

13:00

Well-rested and with a belly full of food, you are truly ready to settle into the holiday vibe. You can either wade into our beautiful pool which features a bar in the middle, or you can shrug off the last remnants of your stress with a relaxing massage at our Serena Spa. The Spa is at a secluded location, allowing you to unwind to the sound of birds and the soft waves on the shore.

14:00

After some relaxing at our pool or at the spa, it is time to explore what our beautiful atoll has to offer. If diving is your forte, you are in for the dive of your life. Addu has some of the best diving spots in the Maldives featuring vibrant coral life, wrecks and majestic manta rays throughout the year. For those who prefer land-based activities, you can check out the Addu Biosphere Reserve, complete with mangroves, lakes and the chance to spot tropical bird life.

16:00 – 18:00

After a full day of adventuring or just simply relaxing, you are back at Equator Village. It’s the perfect time for a light snack. Enjoy our High Tea, served daily from 16:30 to 18:00 hours. As the temperature cools, it is also the perfect time for one last adventure, to cycle through interconnected islands and enjoy the many lookout points that offer unparalleled sunset vistas

19:00 to Bed-time

It is time for dinner, and to unwind. Your dining experience is elevated by live music from local musicians offering classic hits and romantic tunes. Our bar is open until midnight, but soon your bed beckons. Rest up, tomorrow is another day full of adventure and relaxation.
